Opthimus Barricas de Malt Whisky Finish Solera Rum 25 Year Old is a rum that, with its malt whisky finish, is an obvious place to start if you enjoy whisky but want to explore the increasingly popular rum segment. The Opthimus rum has aged for at least 25 years in ex-bourbon barrels and is then matured in a used single malt barrel. Nose: Honey, candied sugar, syrup, ripe fruit, and a hint of malt whisky. Taste: Significant sweetness, nougat melting on the tongue, very rich and full-bodied rum. Spice from the Tomatin malt whisky. Aftertaste: Long, full-bodied aftertaste. Airy spices and a sweet tail. 43% 70cl.
