This Old St. Croix (formerly "A.H. Riise") Royal Danish Navy The Original is a relaunch of an old Danish Navy spirit, which originated from blending in Flensburg. In style, it differs from the famous and historical English navy spirits by being easier to approach and drink. It does not have the same dry style, and there are more sweet fruit notes. Old St. Croix Royal Danish Navy The Original has aromas of orange, spice, licorice, banana, and rubber. Taste: oily, candied apples, coconut, sweetness, and spice in harmony. Finishes with apricot. Aftertaste: sweet and spicy. 40% - 70 cl.

A. H. Riise produces a wide selection of extra sweet sugarcane spirits, as well as liqueurs, bitters, and liquorice shots. As of June 13, 2025, the company has chosen to change its name from A.H. Riise to Old St. Croix. Previously, the products could be classified as rum, but as of May 25, 2021, new EU legislation came into effect, stating that rum must not contain more than 20 grams of sweetening product per liter.
