Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt whisky is named after the Japanese master Masataka Taketsuru, who founded Nikka in 1934. He learned whisky production at both Longmorn and Hazelburn in Scotland and at Yamazaki in Japan, and is perhaps the most decisive figure in the development and success of Japanese whisky. In Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt whisky, you will find well-balanced notes of malt, smoke, apple, and citrus fruits. 43% – 70cl.

Nikka Whisky Distilling Co. is owned by the Japanese Asahi Breweries and has 2 distilleries in Japan, one of which is located in Yoichi in northern Japan, and the other in Miyagikyo, north of Tokyo. The founder, Masataka Taketsuru, was trained in the art of whisky in Scotland in 1918-1920, and after returning to Japan, he started Nikka in 1934.
