Martha's Colheita 2007 Tawny Port comes from a single harvest, from the 2007 vintage. It is made with the grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Cão, Tinta Amarela, and Tinta Roriz. It has been aged for at least seven years, but like many others, its taste will change over the years if left unopened.
Martha's Colheita 2007 Tawny Port offers an alluring aroma of raisins and dried fruits combined with sweet notes of caramel. When you take a sip, you experience a warm taste with subtle hints of spices and tannin, where the fruits and caramel from the aroma are again noticeable. The finish is delicious and warm with mild spices.
Martha's Wine & Spirits was established in 1727 in the Douro Valley in Portugal by the Martha family with their first winery. Initially, the family only produced grapes, which were sold to other wine producers, but six generations ago, they began their own port wine production. They handle everything from harvest, production, bottling, and commercialization themselves. They are what you could call a field-to-bottle company.
Today, they have a wide selection primarily of port wine, but moscatel is also found in their range. There is undoubtedly a port wine for everyone in Martha's series. 20% - 75 cl.
