Infernal Personal Selection IPS Barbados is a rum personally selected and designed by Paw Lagermann and Lina Rafn from the music group Infernal. Paw and Lina's interest in rum has grown so much over the years that in 2018 they began creating their rum series, and in fact, the first many editions were sold exclusively through Rombo.
This Infernal Personal Selection IPS Barbados is a carefully curated rum that meets Infernal's personal preferences, which are no longer for sweet rum, but now for complex, challenging, and unsweetened rum instead.
Barbados is a blend of pot still and column distilled rum from Barbados. The rum has been tropically aged in Barbados for 8 years in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished for an additional 4 years in Denmark in American oak barrels that previously held port wine. The aroma offers notes of melon, molasses, dry oak, and red grapes. The taste reveals sweet red berries, spices, and caramel, while the finish is dry and "vanilla-like."
