Hampden Great House Distillery Edition 2025

Hampden Great House Distillery Edition 2025 is the seventh rum release in the exclusive Distillery Edition series. This bottling is a tribute to the distillery's Great House, which was built in 1779 and still stands in its original form. The house was built next to the distillery by the Stirling family, and the first floor was used for rum storage until the 20th century. Today, it is surrounded by a fantastic tropical garden and has been converted into a visitor center that welcomes guests and visitors. The bottle label reflects the design of the great house, where incredible rums have been produced for over three hundred years.

This new 2025 version of Great House is a blend of the most representative marks of the unique style of rum from Hampden Estate. It is produced from molasses and dunder following a recipe that varies from year to year, offering a different perspective on Hampden Estate's rum. Like previous editions, this bottling is very special, as it is a rum that can usually only be purchased at the distillery in Jamaica or in very rare editions outside the Jamaican market.

The aroma of Hampden Great House Distillery Edition 2025 is deep and rich. There are aromas of fermented pineapple, vanilla, and candied ginger, among others. The taste is intense with characteristic Hampden funk, ripe banana, licorice, and hints of chili. The finish is elegant and complex with notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, camphor, and oak spices, among others.
