Pear Brandy
Eau-de-Vie de Poire Williams is produced by Jos Nusbaumer, who has been distilling in Alsace since 1947, and their eau-de-vie (water of life) is of top quality. Only the best, ripe fruit is used, and in large quantities, so that the pear flavour, which can otherwise be fleeting, is actually prominent. 18 kg of pears are used to produce 1 litre of Eau-de-Vie de Poire Williams pear brandy. After natural fermentation, the brandy is distilled in copper stills and finally reduced with spring water from Nusbaumer's own source.
Jos. Nusbaumer Eau-de-Vie Poire Williams Sélection won a gold medal and was named "Eau-de-Vie of the Year 2025" at Meininger's International Spirits Awards.
