Don Papa Gayuma Rum
Don Papa Gayuma Rum is a Filipino rum made from molasses sourced from local Filipino sugarcane grown in the Sugarlandia region around Mount Kanlaon volcano. The rum is first aged for 3 years in ex-American bourbon barrels and then undergoes a double finish: first 6 months in Spanish Rioja wine barrels, and then three months in oak barrels that previously held smoky Islay whisky. Don Papa Gayuma Rum has a slightly smoky and fruity aroma, with a delicately spiced taste featuring notes of vanilla, orange peel, cloves, cocoa, and mint. The smoke provides a pleasant, spiced, sweet touch to the aftertaste. Medium-sweet rum. 40% - 70 cl.
