Compagnie des Indes Guyana Port Cask Rum
Frenchman Florent Beuchet is behind the independent rum bottler Compagnie des Indes (CDI), and with Guyana Port Cask, he has found a gem of a barrel containing 14-year-old rum. The rum's age and its secondary maturation in port wine barrels have given it a dark golden color and a dense and opulent aroma of red fruits, marmalade, roasted nuts, and cocoa powder, with intense flavor notes of ripe fruits and pearl sugar. Compagnie des Indes Guyana Port Cask is a rich and powerful rum that can be enjoyed neat, but can also handle a few drops of water if you find the alcohol percentage a bit too high. There are only 430 bottles, and they are only sold in Denmark! 62.4% – 70 cl.

Compagnie des Indes is an independent rum bottler. Florent Beuchet is the likeable Frenchman behind these rum bottlings, which focus on a number of renowned distilleries such as Foursquare (Barbados), Uitvlugt/DDL (Guyana), Worthy Park (Jamaica), and Caroni from Trinidad (now closed). Florent Beucher is true to the concept of authentic rum, so Compagnie des Indes is, with few exceptions, produced without added sugar.
