Bristol Classic Rum Port Mourant 1990 is a rum in the Bristol Classic Rum series, where John Barrett selects special casks in the Caribbean and finishes their maturation in Liverpool (previously it was in Bristol, hence the name). Barrett is a proponent of rum that is as natural as possible, and to preserve the individual character of each rum, Bristol Spirits uses careful bottling, no additives, and minimal filtration of the products. Bristol Classic Rum Port Mourant 1990 from Guyana was distilled back in 1990 and has matured in an American oak cask. Since 2002, the rum has aged in the UK until bottling in 2022. The rum has a golden, slightly reddish color and the complex aromatic notes typical of Port Mourant rum with fruit and a hint of anise. Bristol Classic Rum Port Mourant has flavor notes of leather, anise, and dried fruits and offers a long, lingering aftertaste. Bottled at 46.7% ABV without chill filtration.
