Ben Nevis Single Malt Coire Leis whisky is named after the rock formation Coire Leis on Ben Nevis – the mountain from which the distillery itself takes its name. The spring water used in the production of Ben Nevis whisky flows through this particular rock formation on its way down to the distillery, and the water is said to be the highest-lying water source in Scotland. With Ben Nevis Single Malt Coire Leis, you get a surprisingly sweet version of Ben Nevis 10-year-old whisky. Ben Nevis Single Malt Coire Leis has aromatic notes of toffee, honey, and vanilla, followed by oak and sweet barley. The taste is fruity and sweet with ripe apricots and pear, followed by sweet malt and soft, creamy oak. 46% - 70 cl.

Ben Nevis

The Ben Nevis whisky distillery is located in the western part of the Highland region, at the foot of Great Britain's highest mountain (also called Ben Nevis), and the distillery was founded in 1825 by John MacDonald. In 1989, the Ben Nevis whisky distillery was acquired by Nikka from Japan, who also produce whisky. The very full-bodied whisky is matured in ex-bourbon casks made of American oak and in sherry casks made of European oak.
