Angostura 1919 rum is a blend of light and powerful vintage rums, aged for at least 13 years in oak barrels previously used for Bourbon, similar to what is known from malt whisky production. Good cask-aged rum has now won the hearts of many Danes, as it is often sweeter and easier to drink than, for example, whisky and cognac. Nose: Vanilla dream on the nose. Incredibly massive, and it's hard to find anything but a hint of sweetness and characteristic 'rum funk' on the nose. Taste: Vanilla, but it develops dry and complex, as the initial sweetness quickly turns spicy. From sweet caramel to salt, pepper, and licorice in a few seconds. Finish: Spicy finish, slight sweetness, leaving long traces of 'rum funk'. A pleasant finish. Angostura 1919 is a somewhat surprising rum, as the nose is vanilla, but the taste is spicy and appears uncomplicated. 40% - 70 cl.

Angostura Rum from Trinidad & Tobago is a fine range of vanilla-infused rum.
