Angostura 1824 Premium Rum Master is also a tribute to surgeon Johann Gottlieb Benjamin Siegert, who served in Simon Bolivar's army during the Venezuelan revolution in 1824. In the service of medicine, he helped create the aromatic Angostura bitters, which would later become world-famous. The ship on the bottle's gift tube symbolizes the bitters' journey across the oceans, as well as the young doctor's personal journey. Angostura 1824 Premium Rum Master is handcrafted by Angostura's Master Blender. It is an exceptional blend of the finest, aged rums, carefully filled into charred American ex-bourbon oak barrels and aged for at least 12 years. The color is beautifully dark with a texture as soft as silk and a full body. Angostura 1824 Premium Rum tastes fantastic with full-bodied notes of dried fruit, sweet molasses, toasted vanilla, honey, spices, and cognac. Delicious rum at a very reasonable price. 40% - 700 ml.
