Amrut Peated Single Malt Whisky
The excellent, medium-peated Amrut rests in bourbon barrels in Amrut's warehouses in tropical temperatures until it is bottled at 46% ABV. It is free of caramel coloring and chill-filtration, and Jim Murray has given it a full 94 points in his Whisky Bible. This simply means a fabulous whisky that is absolutely not overshadowed by its Scottish origins.
Amrut Peated single malt whisky has an aroma of fresh oak with hints of vanilla, spicy smoke, and nuances of citrus, bacon, and leather. Taste: Layers of peat (smoke) with fresh oak. Amrut Peated single malt whisky has a finish with good smoke and a fine, distinct malt that is well-spiced.

Amrut
Amrut whisky was launched in 2004, and it is the first single malt whisky from India ever. Amrut has, more than anyone, paved the way for Indian whisky, and it is especially Amrut Fusion, with great praise from Jim Murray, that has brought respect to this whisky brand. The distillery is located in Kambipura, approx. 20 km. from Bangalore in India.
