Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask Matured whisky has matured in two different types of casks – former bourbon casks made of American oak and hand-picked sherry casks. This has given Aberlour 12 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky its delicate and characteristic richness with plenty of fruit and spice from the sherry casks. The whisky has tasting notes of caramel, pepper, apple, and dried fruit with hints of cocoa and cinnamon, finishing with a warm, spicy, and sweet aftertaste. In addition to being skilled at maturing in sherry casks, Aberlour is known for the unusually pure spring water from St. Drostan's Well, which runs right next to the distillery and helps give the whisky its delicate character. 40% - 70 cl.

Aberlour

The Aberlour whisky distillery is located in the Highland part of the Speyside region. The distillery was founded in 1826, although the label states 1879, which was instead the year the Aberlour whisky distillery was rebuilt after a fierce fire. The distillery uses one mash tun and 4 stainless steel washbacks, as well as 4 copper stills. Aberlour whisky is owned by the Pernod-Ricard group.
