Santos Dumont

Santos Dumont is a sugar cane spirit named after the Brazilian aviation pioneer, sportsman, and inventor Alberto Santos Dumont, who became world-famous when he flew around the Eiffel Tower in 1901. Santos Dumont came from a wealthy Brazilian family that cultivated coffee and sugar cane and produced rum and cachaça. He was known as a bit of a bon vivant, who, among other things, commissioned the world's first Cartier wristwatch, and this sugar cane spirit is a tribute to him. Incidentally, the same producer is behind A.H. Riise.
