Japanese whisky has had golden times in recent years, not least after Yamazaki 12 Year Old won the World Whiskies Award as the world's best "single malt" in 2017. With Nikka Days, you get a pleasant whisky blend that combines a smoky, slightly heavy salted whisky from the Yoichi distillery and an unpeated, fruity malt whisky from the Miyagikyo distillery with a grain whisky from Nikka's popular Coffeystills. Nikka Days is a blended grain whisky (partially grain and partially lightly peated barley malt) with hints of pear, citrus and flowers and a pleasantly rounded and soft taste with notes of caramel, malt, toasted nuts, apricot and vanilla, rounded off with light smoke. Very easy to drink neat or in cocktails and has good fruit and sweetness. 40% - 70 cl.

Nikka Whisky Distilling Co. is owned by the Japanese Asahi Breweries and has 2 distilleries in Japan, one of which is located in Yoichi in northern Japan, and the other in Miyagikyo, north of Tokyo. The founder, Masataka Taketsuru, was trained in the art of whisky in Scotland in 1918-1920, and after returning to Japan, he started Nikka in 1934.
