Akvavit / Schnapps

Akvavit (often referred to as snaps in Denmark) is the Nordic term for various spirits, and the word comes from the Latin aqua vitae, meaning "water of life". Akvavit/aquavit/snaps is made from either grain or potatoes, and after distillation, various spices and herbs are often added to give it a very special aroma and taste. In our shop, we have chosen to stock akvavit from Nyborg Destilleri and Bornholm Akvavit, as well as the classic Brøndum Snaps.
