Laphroaig Single Malt 10-year-old whisky is made from malted barley that has been dried over a peat fire. The peat comes from Islay, and it is this particular peat that gives Laphroaig its distinctive, well-known taste. At the same time, the distillery is close to the sea, and the sea salt also helps to shape the whisky's character.
Laphroaig Single Malt 10-year-old whisky is aged in American oak casks. Its aroma brings to mind tar, burnt car tires, dusty bookshelves, seaweed, peat, and smoke. The whisky has a powerful, wild taste of seaweed and peat smoke, spiced with a mild sweetness and nuances of salt. Laphroaig Single Malt 10-year-old whisky has won countless awards and is one of Islay's most beloved whiskies.
