The name comes from the story that 100 different whisky casks were blended, and that cask #69 was chosen as the best tasting of these and formed the basis for production. VAT 69 Blended Scotch Whisky has notes of syrup, spices, peat smoke, and oak. 40% - 70 cl.

VAT 69 Finest Scotch Whisky is produced by William Sanderson & Son Ltd., who are also behind Glenesk 12 Year Old and The Antiquary de Luxe whisky. VAT 69 is a blend of several different whiskies. VAT 69 whisky is available in both a 70 cl and a 1-liter version.
