The taste has notes of citrus, Christmas cake, coffee, and cinnamon, leading to a finish of oranges, vanilla, plums, and lingering cinnamon. The Dalmore 12 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is aged partly in American white oak bourbon casks and partly in Oloroso sherry casks.
