Springbank 21 Year Old Whisky
With its warm, golden glow, Springbank 21 Year Old Whisky is inviting, creamy and offers incredible complexity. The maritime influence revealed in this single malt will take you on a journey to its home in Campbeltown. According to Springbank's own description, this 2024 edition of Springbank 21 Year Old has undergone various maturation processes: 65% matured in ex-port hogsheads, 25% matured in ex-bourbon barrels, 5% matured in ex-rum barrels and 5% matured in ex-sherry casks.
When you nose the 2024 version of Springbank 21 Year Old, you feel like you are in a warehouse full of whisky or a library with old books. There are also notes of leather, syrup, and cinnamon that creep into the nose. On the palate, you notice notes of dark fruit, dates, spices, and peat smoke. The finish is long with notes of salted caramel, toffee, and peat smoke.
Springbank is unique among Scotland's distilleries. Every part of the process from malting to bottling is carried out at the distillery. Unlike other whiskies, Springbank Single Malt Whisky is free from artificial colouring and is not chill-filtered. This may cause a slight natural cloudiness when cold, but this will disappear when the temperature returns to normal. NOTE: max. 1 bottle per customer. 46% – 70cl.
