Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey
Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey is from Buffalo Trace Distillery, which started as Old Fire Copper (O.F.C.) Distillery. Regardless of the name change, they still make truly exceptional whiskey at this distillery, located on the old buffalo trace (hence the name). Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey is inspired by some of the first bourbons from the coffee houses in New Orleans back in the 1800s, mainly based on rye grain. This whiskey has notes of fresh clover, vanilla, anise, pepper, and subtle notes of candied fruit and light liquorice. In "The Whisky Bible", Jim Murray rated this whiskey 94.5/100 and stated the following: "Any crispier and the glass would shatter…a rare and valuable gem!" - Jim Murray
