Rosebank 31 Year Old Lowland Single Malt Whisky Release 2 is blended from the dwindling stocks remaining after the closure of the original Rosebank Falkirk distillery in 1993. This is therefore a very limited release, and the second release of its kind since Rosebank was acquired by Ian Macleod Distillers. It is the last 'old Rosebank release' before the distillery in Falkirk reopens to the public under new ownership.
Rosebank 31 Year Old Lowland Single Malt Whisky Release 2 has, despite its long cask maturation, retained its juicy and fresh aromatic notes with hints of lime and lemongrass. The aromatic profile is echoed in the taste, where mild notes of exotic fruits, chamomile, and mint are joined by heavier notes of leather and banana bread, oak, and spice. It culminates in a long, herbaceous finish with hints of peach and tobacco. Rosebank 31 Year Old Lowland Single Malt Whisky Release 2 is triple distilled and non-chill filtered. Extremely limited quantity.
