GlenDronach Ode to the Dark Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is one of a total of three NAS (non-age statement) 2025 editions in The Master's Anthology series from The GlenDronach Distillery in Aberdeenshire.
What is special about the Ode to the Dark whisky is that it has been exclusively aged in the signature PX sherry casks for which GlenDronach is so well known, and that the whisky is bottled at a relatively high ABV. The cask aging and the slightly higher alcohol strength make this the fullest-bodied whisky edition in the Master's Anthology series. According to Global Brand Ambassador, Stewart Buchanan, the whisky is 8-13 years old.
When nosing the GlenDronach Ode to the Dark Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, notes of mocha, black cherries, dark chocolate, creme brulee, raisins, brown sugar, and ginger are perceived. When tasting the whisky, fine notes of espresso, caramel, blue grapes, and mint chocolate emerge, continuing with cocoa, hazelnuts, and cranberries in the aftertaste.

GlenDronach
GlenDronach is located in the Highland region and is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries. GlenDronach was founded by James Allardice, who in 1826 obtained a license to produce whisky on the site. Production is based on non-peated malt, which is sourced externally. Maturation takes place in used bourbon casks and European oak casks, but sherry cask maturation is also used, which helps to create GlenDronach's characteristic whisky flavour...
