Cointreau from France is one of the world's leading and most awarded orange liqueurs, also known as "triple sec" because it is distilled 3 times. Originally created in 1910 for the popular cocktails Sidecar, Margarita, and Cosmopolitan. Cointreau is made from the peels of sweet and bitter oranges. The sweet oranges provide fruity sweetness and almost floral notes such as roses and lavender, while the bitter oranges provide zesty lime. Cointreau tastes aromatic, fresh, and well-balanced, spicy like pepper and cardamom, and it is not too sweet. The aroma is clean, fresh, and lightly perfumed with notes of orange peel. Can be enjoyed neat, chilled over ice cubes, or in cocktails. 40% - 70 cl.
