The Carupano rum series is from Venezuela, where we also know, among others, Diplomatico and Santa Teresa. Ron Carupano is a family-owned distillery that produces sweet rum in the "Spanish style". The history dates back to 1762, when the Spanish captain, Felix del Fierro, founded the hacienda in the Carupano valley in Macarapana. Ron Carupano is today among the leading producers in Venezuela, and they also have the country's first and only female Master Blender, Carmen López de Bastidas. The casks are sealed and are not refilled as the rum evaporates. Carupano Reserva 18 Limitada rum is in the medium-sweet range and contains up to 18-year-old distillates from American oak casks. Carupano Reserva 18 Limitada rum has notes of, among other things, fig, honey, candied fruit, vanilla, and chocolate. The rum was launched in 2020 and comes in a nice gift tube. 40% - 70 cl.
