Savanna Lontan Straight rommen er lavet på melasse fra Bois Rouge-sukkerrør, gæret i 8 dage og destilleret i en kolonne hos Distillerie Savanna på øen Réunion. Ester-indholdet er på 784,6 g/HLAP, så der er fuld fart på duft og smag.

I næsen fornemmes noter af ananas, oliven og banan, mens smagen byder på tropiske frugter og (igen) oliven.

The Savanna distillery is located on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, and here they produce a wide range of rums: light rum types suitable for cocktails, Rhum Traditionnel for pure enjoyment, Grand Arome with extra aroma/ester content/flavour, and they also make certain Rhum Agricole products, which are made from sugar cane juice instead of molasses (which the others are).
