Savannah

The Savanna distillery is located on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, and here they produce a wide range of rums: light rum types suitable for cocktails, Rhum Traditionnel for pure enjoyment, Grand Arome with extra aroma/ester content/flavour, and they also make certain Rhum Agricole products, which are made from sugar cane juice instead of molasses (which the others are). Savanna does not add sugar to its products, and it is therefore a natural, unsweetened rum. Savanna rum is typically aged in French oak barrels from Limousin or Allier. Some of the rum produced is released in Savanna's own rum series, and Savanna rum can also be found at independent bottlers such as Rum Nation, Bapt & Clems, among others.
