For the production of Lochlea Our Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky, three selected cask types have been used, which have a great influence on the whisky's flavour profile: 33% First Fill Bourbon, 33% First Fill Oloroso and 33% STR Cask. The aroma reveals fresh malt like in Digestive biscuits, pears and heather honey, while the taste and finish offer notes of, among other things, pears, vanilla, shortbread, oak, malt and white pepper.
