Finally, a hint of burnt barrel and tea leaves is perceived. Taste: a great sweetness fills the entire mouth. Lots of vanilla, apricot, and raisin are among the first notes tasted. This is followed by a spicy taste of cinnamon, Demerara cane sugar, and cocoa. Planteray XO 20th Anniversary has notes of sweet smoldering oak, whisky blend, pipe tobacco, and Crème Brûlée.

Under its old name - Plantation XO 20th Anniversary - it won gold in the "Premium Aged Rum" category at the Miami Rum Festival 2015.
