William Hinton Rum Agricola da Madeira 3 Year Old Rum
William Hinton Rum Agricola da Madeira 3-year-old rum is from the producer Engenho Novo on the Portuguese island of Madeira, and the rum was actually part of the 24 Days of Rum calendar in 2022, where the bottle was also bottled.
The rum is made from freshly pressed sugarcane juice. The unique feature of this bottle is the so-called "5 Cask Blend," as the finished William Hinton 3-year-old rum has matured in no less than 5 different cask types: ex-Madeira Wine, Ex-whisky, Ex-brandy, Ex-North of Portugal Fortified Wine, and Ex-South of Spain Fortified Wine.
The five cask types have given the William Hinton rum many different flavor nuances and aromas. Master Blender's tasting notes: "Sweet aroma from which the notes of vanilla and wood stand out. In the mouth it enters dry and an intense persistence takes over the senses to open its way to a smooth finish."
