Alipus Santa Ana del Rio er en håndlavet mezcal fra 11 familier i 6 landsbyer. Der er kun lavet 1.800 flasker af denne "Lote SAR103/22", som er destilleret af Don Fabian Cruz Gonzalez og tappet på flaske af Destilleria Los Danzantes S.A. i Oaxaca, Mexico.
De forskellige mezcal-udgaver fra Alipús spænder over mange destillerier i små, støvede landsbyer, der alle ligger et par timers kørsel fra Oaxaca City. De små familieejede destillerier opererer med et minimum af teknologi, og flere steder knuses agaven eksempelvis med store trækøller, og mezcal'en destilleres i traditionelle pot stills af ler. Hver eneste lille "pueblo" har sin egen måde at gøre tingene på – og det kan smages!
Mezcal Alipus Santa Ana del Rio er kategoriseret som Joven, og den er lavet på 100% Espadin. Duft og smag byder på mineralske noter, citrus og krydderurter.
