Glasgow 1770 The Original Single Malt Whisky represents a revival of Glasgow's whisky scene. When Glasgow Distillery opened in 2014, it was the first distillery to open in the Scottish industrial city in more than 100 years, and Glasgow 1770 The Original Single Malt Whisky was the first to kick things off. The whisky is made from local barley malt and water from Loch Katrine. The mash has fermented for 72 hours and has since been distilled in specially designed copper pot stills. The distillate is then matured in former bourbon casks and finally given a finish in new American oak casks. The result is a fruity and smooth single malt with notes of honey, vanilla, red berries and pears, culminating in a long, spicy aftertaste. Glasgow 1770 The Original Single Malt Whisky is non-chill filtered and has no added artificial colour. 46% - 70 cl.
