Diplomático Single Vintage 2008 is crafted from a selection of special rums distilled in 2008. The chosen rums developed exceptionally and captivated the interest of Diplomático's Maestros Roneros due to their distinct character.
This particular rum stands apart from the rest of Diplomático's 2008 distillations due to its exceptional character and is shared with rum enthusiasts. After distillation in vintage copper pot stills, the rum was aged in bourbon and single malt whisky casks for twelve years.
Following the aging process, the Maestros Roneros carefully blend the rum to achieve the structure, body, personality, taste, and aroma they seek. Finally, the rum spends a year in Spanish sherry casks to give it the perfect finish.
The rum is a limited edition and a follow-up to the Diplomatico Single Vintage 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2007 editions.
Diplomático Single Vintage 2008 is a dark amber rum with an aroma of smoked wood, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and ripe fruits. It has a well-balanced and incredibly palatable taste, finishing with subtle notes of red fruits. 43% - 70 cl.
