Compagnie des Indes is known for bottling some of the very best Jamaican rum, and their CDI Jamaica 9 years #83 is absolutely no exception. Cask number JKD83, in which the distillates matured, was bottled in July 2021 after 9 years of aging, resulting in a bright, amber-golden rum with aromas of burnt molasses, citrus, and tropical fruit. The taste is rich, fruity, and typically Jamaican, while the alcohol is noticeable without being overpowering. This 'multi distillery blend' is a top-shelf Jamaican rum that can be enjoyed neat, but also elevates a rum-based drink. Sold only in Denmark. 64.2% - 70 cl.

Compagnie des Indes is an independent rum bottler. Florent Beuchet is the likeable Frenchman behind these rum bottlings, which focus on a number of renowned distilleries such as Foursquare (Barbados), Uitvlugt/DDL (Guyana), Worthy Park (Jamaica), and Caroni from Trinidad (now closed). Florent Beucher is true to the concept of authentic rum, so Compagnie des Indes is, with few exceptions, produced without added sugar.
