Angostura 1787 Super Premium Rum 15 Year Old

Angostura 1787 is a blend of rums aged for 15 years in used oak barrels. Nose: banana, dried fruit, apple and oak (and a hint of Caroni?). Taste: dried plums, toffee and oak (and a hint of Caroni?). When we spoke to Angostura's Master Distiller, John Georges, he said there was no Caroni in this Angostura 1787 rum blend, but could that really be true? We certainly detect a small amount of Caroni in both the nose and mouth, and Angostura has also purchased some of the old Caroni barrels. A well-balanced, full-bodied and generous rum.

Angostura Rum from Trinidad & Tobago is a fine range of vanilla-infused rum. The assortment consists of Angostura Bitters, White, and 5-year for cocktails, as well as Angostura 7-year, 1919, 1824, and 1787 for pure rum enjoyment. In addition, a series of limited-edition special bottlings are regularly released. The Angostura distillery is also behind one of the world's most expensive rum bottles: Legacy by Angostura.
