Both Abuelo XII Three Angels and Abuelo XII Two Oaks are double-aged for 12 years. First in bourbon casks and then in extra-toasted new oak casks. The difference is that Three Angels is the edition exclusively taken from casks in the top row of Ron Abuelo's \u003cem\u003evintage pallet\u003c\/em\u003e warehouses, where the temperature reaches up to 35°C, causing evaporation (angel's share) to reach as much as 15% per year, which also accelerates maturation and complexity. Nose: roasted hazelnuts, sweet spices, exotic fruit, leather, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee beans. Taste: burnt oak, vanilla, honey, and dried fruit. The finish is long, spicy, and \"burnt\" with notes of cocoa.
