Worthy Park Special Cask Release Virgin Oak Vintage 2013 Rum is actually a rum bottled exclusively for Belgium (bottled for The Nectar), but when a few surplus bottles were found in the warehouse of the Danish importer, 1423 ApS, we were allowed to purchase them.

The rum is molasses-based and pot still distilled at Worthy Park on the island of Jamaica in 2013. There it was also tropically aged for 4 years in ex-bourbon barrels, before undergoing 2 additional years of aging in Virgin Oak barrels in Denmark.

An authentic and classic Jamaican rum with a lot of character and no added sweetness.

Worthy Park

For many years, the Worthy Park Estate distillery primarily exported their rum, but gradually a number of Worthy Park bottlings are now being released directly from the distillery. Worthy Park uses molasses in their production, and the rum is distilled in copper pot stills. Among Worthy Park's own bottlings, one can find Rum Bar Overproof, Single Estate Reserve, and a range of limited Special Cask Double Maturation Releases such as Oloroso, Madeira, Sherry, and Port.
