Tres Hombres La Palma Ron Miel 2017 Edition 16 is a rum produced for Tres Hombres by Aldea Distillery using local sugarcane on Gran Canaria. The rum is pot still distilled and aged in Spanish oak barrels. Following ancient traditions on Gran Canaria, a little honey has been added, making the rum sweet.
The fascinating story of Tres Hombres rum originates from the beautiful Tres Hombres sailing ship, which transports its Fairtransport Rum from rum producers to the Netherlands. The same ship then sails on to countries like Denmark to unload the year's "rum harvest." The 2-masted ship has no engine, so it takes a skilled captain to dock if the wind is blowing. We have often visited the ship ourselves when it has been in Copenhagen.
Tres Hombres La Palma Ron Miel 2017 Edition 16 is a limited edition rum (only 1,789 bottles) that actually went off the market many years ago, but in September 2025, we managed to find some forgotten bottles at the Danish importer.
