Rum Nation Mauritius 6 Year Triple Cask is a rum that has been tropically aged in three different casks: virgin oak, bourbon casks, and sherry casks. This combination has created a complex rum with a beautiful balance. The virgin oak cask has contributed depth and oak spices, the bourbon cask has contributed vanilla notes and sweetness, and the sherry cask has contributed fruity notes.
When you smell the Rum Nation Mauritius 6 Year Triple Cask rum, notes of red berries, maple syrup, fresh oak, sherry-raisin, and citrus emerge. The taste is soft and full-bodied with notes of leather, oak, bourbon vanilla, tropical fruits, and orange peel.
