Ron Sostenible Very Limited Experimental Cask Rioja is a rum bottled exclusively for Østjysk Vinforsyning in collaboration with the producer, A Clean Spirit.

Ron Sostenible is a sustainable rum series made by A Clean Spirit, who have entrusted the production of Ron Sostenible to extremely skilled hands at a distillery in the Dominican Republic. The distillery focuses maximally on environmentally green practices. All CO₂ from the fermentation process is collected in pressure vessels, which are used for soft drinks. All organic material and wastewater from the fermentation process are led to the sugarcane fields as organic fertilizer for new sugarcane, and the biomass is used as fuel to distill the alcohol. The finished rum is transported from the Dominican Republic to Europe by sailing ship – entirely without engine power. The bottles are made from remelted recycled glass and produced in Europe to reduce CO2 emissions. The label is printed on sustainable paper, and the cork is sustainably produced without the use of glue.

This Ron Sostenible Very Limited Experimental Cask Rioja rum offers an exciting taste experience, where the exquisite and traditional bourbon aging that characterizes the Ron Sostenible rum series has been given a unique twist. Instead of the more classic aging in sherry casks, which is also used for Ron Sostenible Triple Cask, this edition has been finished in an exquisite Rioja wine cask after 8 years of aging in a bourbon cask, adding an extra dimension to the flavor profile.

Ron Sostenible Very Limited Experimental Cask Rioja rum offers notes of dried fruit, vanilla, toffee, caramel, chocolate, orange peel, and oak spices, among others.
