Old St. Croix Royal Danish Navy Strength

For Old St. Croix (formerly "A.H. Riise") 55% Royal Danish Navy Strength, Wedderburn and Plummer distillates – or W&P for short – produced by slow fermentation are used. It is subsequently pot distilled in the traditional "Pot Still" to a spirit with 85% alcohol content.

The result is a 55% spirit with an extremely dark – almost black – color, with notes of coffee, anise, licorice, burnt caramel, molasses, spices, and cedar. Old St. Croix Royal Danish Navy Strength has a taste of bitter orange and bergamot fruits, finishing with a long and sweet aftertaste.

As of June 13, 2025, the name has been changed from A.H. Riise to Old St. Croix.
