Old English Gin
Old English Gin directly writes itself into that history. There is even talk of Beer Street and Gin Lane, symbolizing the great significance gin has had in London. In olden days, England imported large quantities of champagne, and it was therefore natural to bottle gin in empty champagne bottles and use cork stoppers and wax. Henrik Hammer has recreated this style with his Old English Gin, which is also distilled in very old pot stills in England. The recipe with the 11 spices dates all the way back to 1783, so it can safely be said that the attempt to recreate the old English gin is very thoroughly executed. Old English Gin is a delightful dry and elegant gin with a slight richness. It has a scent of flowers and juniper as well as notes of citrus fruit. The taste has notes of grass, citrus, and flower. 44% – 70cl.
