Mosgaard Filippa Gin
Mosgaard Filippa Gin is made with Filippa apples, which are spicy, sweet, and have a fresh acidity after harvest. Distilled on organic Danish barley malt and on custom-designed copper pot stills. After a fermentation process that is twice as long as that of many other distilleries, the gin is infused with fresh Filippa apple pieces. When the apples have steeped as they should, they are distilled separately and added to the gin, which is distilled with juniper, aniseed, coriander, cloves, black pepper, lemongrass, licorice root, lime, lemon, and orange. The result is a creamy and soft taste of spicy fresh apples. State-controlled organic. Winner of Berlin ISC Silver 2018, IWSC Silver 2018, IWSC Silver 2019. 40% - 50cl. The series also includes Mosgaard Dry Gin and Mosgaard Red Love Gin. Mosgaard Whisky comes from the award-winning Danish micro-distillery Mosgaard on Southern Funen, where Gitte and Jes Mosgaard produce whisky from Danish, organically grown barley malt. Mosgaard whisky is distilled twice in a custom-built copper pot still and then matured in custom-made small casks of 50/60 litres, which have often contained either bourbon or sherry.
