Kirk and Sweeney Reserva is a rum bottling from 3 Badge Beverage, located in the old fire station in Sonoma, California. Members of the Sebastiani family previously extinguished fires from this very fire station, and when it came up for sale in 2014, it was an obvious choice for the company's new home. In addition to firefighting, the family had also started their first winery in 1904, and it was natural to also have a range of luxury spirits, including the Kirk and Sweeney rum series from the Dominican Republic. The rum is named after a schooner that was said to have smuggled rum from the Caribbean to the US during Prohibition.

Kirk and Sweeney Reserva Dominican Rum is one of the successors to Kirk & Sweeney's old 12-year, 18-year, and 23-year rum series. Kirk and Sweeney Reserva is a molasses-based rum, blended from carefully selected 2-12 year old rums, which have matured in Californian and French oak barrels. The rum has an aroma of sugarcane, vanilla, and toasted oak spices. The taste offers notes of nectar/honey, vanilla, and oak spices, followed by a rich, sweet, soft, and long-lasting aftertaste.

Kirk and Sweeney is the name of a ship that, during Prohibition, transported (smuggled) rum from the Caribbean to the USA. The ship was seized by authorities in 1924, but the name and legend live on with this rum. The seal on the bottles has a thin brass-colored band with the latitude and longitude 40° 34' 57.62" - 73° 19' 2.14", which are the coordinates for Jones Beach, from where rum was smuggled into the USA in the 1920s.
