Compass Box The Peat Monster Cask Strength Whisky
Compass Box The Peat Monster Cask Strength is a blended Scotch malt from Compass Box, released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first Peat Monster, created in 2003. The nose offers sooty barbecue smoke, green apple, and powerful aromatic citrus oils, supported by warming cinnamon. On the palate, a tarry, smoky almond flavour emerges, and a final maturation in special virgin oak casks adds extra richness and vanilla notes. Notes of seaweed, cayenne pepper, and salinity complete the taste experience. The whisky is a limited edition, and because whisky enthusiasts in the USA generally prefer higher proof, it is bottled at 56.7% ABV. Compass Box The Peat Monster Cask Strength is available in a limited number of only 9,126 bottles.
