Stauning Whisky
The Stauning whisky distillery, located in the middle of the Jutland heath in Stauning near Skjern, is on its way to becoming an iconic piece of Danish whisky history. Stauning whisky started in 2005 as a micro-distillery and quickly received many great reviews (from, among others, Jim Murray) when the various releases were launched. Foreign countries slowly but surely became aware of what was happening, and this led none other than Diageo to sign on as an investor in the project, which in 2018 resulted in a new and modern distillery. Stauning whisky has won a wealth of international awards, and it will be exciting to follow their development.

Stauning launches new gin
Stauning Dry Gin marks the distillery's first gin release. For years, Stauning has been recognized internationally for its distinctive Danish whisky series, and now they are bringing the same uncompromising approach to craftsmanship into the world of gin. The gin is based on traditional botanicals combined with carefully selected, local ingredients.
The art of transforming rye into a whisky with character
Since 2005, Stauning has created Danish whisky from scratch, from local grain to the finished glass. Rye and barley are grown just a short bike ride from the distillery, surrounded by the special tranquility that characterizes the West Coast.
With respect for the simple and essential ingredients – grain, yeast, and water – Stauning allows nature's raw forces to shape the taste. The result is a whisky that encapsulates the soul of the region and celebrates the dedicated craftsmanship and community behind every single bottle.
